Jimmy Meng and a Diverse Slate of Community Leaders and Local Organizations Rally to Support Dao Yin’s Candidacy for Queens Borough President

“Anyone who believes in fair representation should vote for Dao Yin on June 23. I strongly support his election as Queens Borough President.” said Jimmy Meng, Queens community leader and former member of the New York State Assembly.

New York, NY, June 17, 2020 – Today, Dao Yin, a candidate for Queens Borough President, announced a slate of endorsements from local leaders and community organizations, who represent a wide range of Asian and other communities across Queens. These endorsements come as Dao Yin continues to consolidate support with his focus on public safety in advance of Election Day on June 23.

“I am honored to receive so much support as the first Asian-American candidate for Queens Borough President,” said Dao Yin, who himself is a first-generation immigrant to Queens. “I understand the struggles of raising a family in Queens and have been focused on bringing jobs back to Queens and keeping our residents safe.”

One of Dao Yin’s more notable endorsements comes from Jimmy Meng, a businessman, Queens community leader, and former New York State Assembly Member.

“In the past few years, Dao Yin has fought consistently to give Chinese Americans, Asians and other underrepresented communities a voice in Queens. I strongly support his election as Queens Borough President,” said Jimmy Meng. “Queens has very large Chinese and, more broadly, Asian populations, but our communities have no voice. Anyone who believes in fair representation should vote for Dao Yin on June 23.”

“Unlike my opponents, almost all of whom are establishment politicians, I do not see the office of Borough President as a steppingstone for my career. I am the only candidate in the race who genuinely seeks to improve the lives of all the residents of Queens,” said Dao Yin.

“The vast array of individuals and organizations who have endorsed Dao Yin, including representatives from communities across Asia and elsewhere, demonstrates the wide range of support Dao Yin enjoys in Queens,” said Aaron Foldenauer, Mr. Yin’s campaign manager.
